Can you freaking believe this? (punch line at the end)

I have a Bachelor's Degree from a good University.
I have five years customer service experience.
And approximately 2 years each experience in Social Services and Program Coordination. On top of other qualifications such as very good competency and experience with diversity.
Now that is not an outstanding amount of experience but I am only 26.

So I interviewed at this place. Had two interviews that went quite well. Filled out a survey. I was told by the interviewer I scored better than most anyone she's every seen on the survey. And she was impressed with my experience with diversity.

And today I received a letter in the mail. Here's the punchline..
It said that I am NOT QUALIFIED (to work in a SUPERMARKET at ENTRY LEVEL).

What the freaking heck????????????

I would definately contact her and ask, what went wrong. I do know I can't get an entry level job with my degree eaither, they wont hire me because I am not entry level.

It is so annoying. I thought getting an education was supposed to HELP get jobs.

ok thats dumb ..... i worked in Safeway for 12 years i was a servie suppervisor and ran the checkout department when the head suppervisor was not there now i busted my balls to get to that possition and could have gone on to be come the head suppervisor with traing but they told me i was to Qualifyed ... i lattter found out that they dont like to hire people with Brains so they cant move up in the company and take the peoples job ... my head suppervisor at the time refused my servise traing because she was told by our store manager that i ran the department better than her .. i was pissed .....so i quit and moved onto importing and exporting furniture from china .........

i would ring her up and ask her what sort of qualifacations you need to prosess grocery's its not rocket science for god sake ... ...... that's insulting being told your not qualifyed to work in a supermarket .....

You are so right. It is horribly insulting. I can't come up with one reason I wouldn't be qualified.
